“Experience has taught me how important it is to just keep going, focusing on running fast and relaxed. Eventually it passes and the flow returns. It’s part of racing. ” ~ Frank Shorter
And in my opinion Olympic Marathoner Frank Shorter’s quote applies to life in general as well. It is all about staying focused and to just keep going forward. Failure to do so will multiply any issue at least ten fold.
Staying focused and moving forward is part of any successful plan, personal or professional. Beating the drum of all that is wrong in the moment or in the past is part of any plan that will have a focus and outcome equating to failure. Have you made mistakes? Of course you have. I remember watching the movie “Fatso” a long time ago and the line that stuck with me referenced how it is so okay to not be perfect, even Christ had doubt. And really if that is where you set the bar it is a lot easier to be nicer to ourselves (and others) when an occasional ‘oops’ moment or week or year take place.
