Someone sent me the following blog post, which I appreciated them sending.

I found it interesting yet not all together accurate, at least for me.

The YOU in the your business is about YOU, is only partially true.  When you make your business about YOU it reflects and only works if you are NOT in a customer based business and are in an information business (speaking, writing, accounting, etc-and maybe not even then.) It reminds me of the saying, “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

I do agree with  “Your success is about your awareness,” because your awareness, as she said that nothing is separate from you is valid.  Subsequently, I feel your business is about focusing on flow and connection.

I also feel that the statement of some people plan and some people plan and some people vision/plan  infused with feeling is interesting.  All the tried and true greats, Napoleon Hill, Carnegie, etc. convey/support that planning without being infused with faith and/or feeling will result in falling short (and they’ve got the millions to prove it.)

There are so many ‘gurus’ out there with great information to share with us.  But what it boils down to is accepting responsibility for ourselves and identifying how we can use our skills and talents to serve others (and our self) too.  I am a huge proponent for education and information.  But it is the ‘action’ component that is key.

For every magazine, article, book you read, information you listen to there is someone out there with the exact opposite experience and outlook.  If it resonates with you then it will probably work for you.  The trick is making sure it is really what is BEST for you and not EASIEST.  If you look long enough you can find some support for any reason you want to use to justify your behavior.  What it boils down to is do you want to justify your behavior, or do you want to succeed.

Peter Mandelson has a quote, “Too often we think we can act without explaining and take decisions without justifying them.”   It is true isn’t it?!

Quit wasting your valuable time in trying to justify and GET TO WORK!  Who are you waiting for to give you permission?  The consequences are your’s and your’s alone so why waste valuable time justifying?
